"This is a strategically important contract for KAEFER Energy," says CEO in KAEFER Energy Bård Bjørshol. "It ensures important and stable employment for many years to come. It is also awarded at a time when the oil and gas industry is still experiencing major challenges with reduced order intake, and major challenges related to maintaining the employment level.

"We are very happy today," continues Bjørshol. We are also humble in relation to the total value of the contract. This award demonstrates Statoil's satisfaction with KAEFER Energy as a supplier and our employees' and what we have delivered through many years of continuous maintenance, both offshore and at several onshore facilities. In recent years, we have implemented extensive improvement programs that have also contributed positively to Statoil as a customer.

Bjørshol attributes the extensive commitment to Lean management that the company has implemented over the last five years. In addition, we have demonstrated a positive development in risk management and approach to HSE work that has contributed to good results in HSE in general.

"This has been a work intensive and good process with Statoil," says Director of Business Development Sigve Aabø, were we have used all our experience and knowledge in proposing solutions we believe will serve Statoil in a good way, also in a long-term perspective. This important contract award from Statoil, shortly comes after they awarded us a comprehensive maintenance contract for the Mongstad onshore plant. The sum of these contracts is significant and we consider it as a solid recognition from Statoil in relation to the extensive deliveries made in recent years, concludes Aabø.
