| The KAEFER Group registered a very positive extraordinary order intake in the first weeks of April totaling more than 80 million Euros on top of the orders traditionally received for the period. In Norway, for the Snøhvit LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) project on Melkøya Island, Statoil awarded KAEFER with the carry over works for the barge coming from Spain, extending the scope of the original contract. An extensive order for more than 6 years was issued by Electricité de France (EDF) confirming KAEFER WANNER’s leadership in insulation and scaffolding services for the nuclear power generation sector in France. In Germany, the insurance group Barmenia and KAEFER signed an important contract for works in new office buildings at the Barmenia headquarter in Wuppertal. Last but not least, KAEFER got the green light for a big project for STTS Energies in the Guangdong LNG-Terminal in China. Managing Director Norbert Schmelzle remarked: “This is a very strong signal showing that KAEFER is a technological leader in the field of insulation and related services. At the same time, we confirm that KAEFER is the insulation company with the highest international scope”. Norbert Schmelzle also states: “Together with my colleagues Peter Hoedemaker and Jörn M. Fetköter I am proud that we were able to convince our customers not only of our technological but also our commercial competences and project management capabilities”. KAEFER has over 6000 employees in more than 30 countries having achieved a turnover of around 600 million Euros in 2004. ![]() Snøhvit LNG project on Melkøya Island, Norway | |||||||
