	"Nils Holgersson" - the Baltic ferry with cruise ship standards The new Baltic ferry "Nils Holgersson" is to operate between Travemünde and Trelleborg. This ferry will accommodate 640 passengers in all with 220 passenger cabins and 56 crew cabins offering recreation and overnight facilities. KAEFER, one of the largest suppliers of the Bremerhaven shipyard, SSW Fähr- und Spezialschiffbau GmbH, provided extensive installation and outfitting services. Over 6000 sqm of ceiling panels with specially integrated light boxes were installed on the 3 vehicle decks, some of which are 7 lanes wide. KAEFER was instrumental in the planning, engineering and implementation of all the heating, refrigeration and insulation systems required on the ferry. KAEFER specialists were also responsible for the fire protection solutions on the "Nils Holgersson". Fitters undertook extensive structural work in public areas. Among other things KAEFER was responsible for the supply, assembly and installation of ceiling panels in the reception area of the main hall on two decks, in the restaurants, conference rooms, video cinema and children's playroom, as well as for the fitness center, which includes a sauna and whirlpool. Turnkey galleys, refrigerated stores and larders were installed in accordance with standards applicable for ferries of this size.
