| After entering the Polish market with the company TERMOIZOLACJA in 2002 and the take over of TERMOIZOLA in Lithuania and Latvia earlier this year, the KAEFER Group consolidates now its leadership in the region through the acquisition of the company IZOKOR PLOCK SA in Poland. IZOKOR PLOCK SA, a state-owned company from 1968 to 1994, became the property of more than 600 individuals who are or were employed by the company. In the last weeks, a majority of the individual shareholders welcomed the idea of bringing IZOKOR to the KAEFER Group. IZOKOR PLOCK SA has more than 550 very qualified employees in its headquarters of Plock and the workshops in Gdansk, Kwydzyn, Swiecie, Torun, and Konin. The company is focused on insulation, anticorrosion and scaffolding, works extensively for the petrochemical industry, and reached a turnover of more than 11 Million Euro in 2004. The Regional Director for Eastern Europe, Robert Skrobisz, states: “TERMOIZOLACJA and IZOKOR make a perfect combination in the Polish insulation market concerning the geographical areas and industrial sectors they focus on. We are sure that IZOKOR will soon reach the same competitive advantages that TERMOIZOLACJA obtained after it joined the KAEFER Group in 2002.” From the point of view of the employees of IZOKOR, it is a great advantage to be part of a successful multinational Group that will secure and expand, not only in Poland but also Europe-wide, the current operations. With the staff and workers coming from IZOKOR, KAEFER has now over 7000 employees in more than 30 countries having achieved a turnover of over 600 Million Euros in 2004. | |||||||
