Statoil recently signed maintenance agreements covering insulation, fire protection, scaffolding and surface protection on platforms, production vessels and land-based plants in Norway. The largest assignment was handed to KAEFER ENERGY AS. KAEFER’s Stavanger-based enterprise will be responsible for works on nine different platforms and one onshore refinery. The contract is worth in excess of 600 million euros over eight years (the next four years fixed, additionally two options of two years). This will create over 400 new jobs at KAEFER ENERGY in the next years.
KAEFER Integrated Services Australia received a seven-year contract for a major oil and gas multinational. The revenue from the contract will amount to approximately 200 million euros over the next seven years. Between 200 and 300 additional staff are expected to be employed on a continuous basis. The scope of work includes insulation, fire protection, scaffolding, and surface protection as well as other tasks such as electrical and planning services. The works will be carried out on two onshore plants, a marine terminal and onshore pipes.
“These agreements are very important milestones in KAEFER’s history,” said Chairman Peter Hoedemaker. “They rank among our most extensive maintenance contracts and confirm that our clients value our services and quality. Furthermore it is a logic step in our strategy focused on complete insulation solutions”.
