On Monday 23rd of August the KAEFER Group, one of the world’s leading providers of complete insulation solutions, announced that they have opened a regional office in Aberdeen, U.K..

The company’s local team will provide extensive services for the offshore industry, including a wide range of insulation applications as well as interior outfitting, surface protection, access management, engineering and project management.

KAEFER’s Offshore Division is headed by Craig Rose. Craig joined the group in 2009 after 29 successful years in the industry. He is based in Teesside, U.K., and will oversee the start-up of the Aberdeen office.

The local staff will be able to rely on a large international network of insulation experts within the Group. KAEFER generated revenues of €1.2 billion in 2009. The group’s core business areas are Industry, Offshore, Shipbuilding, Construction and Aerospace. Headquartered in Bremen, Germany, the company has operations in more than 50 countries and a current workforce of 17,000.

The group’s largest offshore unit is KAEFER ENERGY AS, a major player in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea area. KAEFER ENERGY AS recently signed a maintenance agreement with Statoil that is worth more than €600 million. The contract includes insulation, fire protection, scaffolding and surface protection on offshore platforms, production vessels and land-based plants.
