Dr. Matthias Fonger, Head Managing Director of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Manfred Zimmermann, Managing Director of the WESER-WOHNBAU/Zimmermann Real Estate group and Peter Hoedemaker, Chairman of KAEFER Isoliertechnik GmbH & Co. KG, have signed a longterm lease for the properties Börsenhof B and Petrihof. The move into the city centre by one of Bremen's most venerable compa-nies represents a clear commitment to the city state.

KAEFER is growing. The company's head offices in the
Bürgermeister-Smidt-Straße 70 in Bremen are no longer large enough, so that the company already had to organise additional office space over the road to accommodate the 120 employees.

The complex of buildings in the Börsenhof B and the Petrihof offer sufficient floor space (some 4,200 m²), is well situated for all transport links and easily reachable for the company's international business partners. "The total refurbishment and an end to the temporary vacancy will give another great boost to the image of the city centre", said a satisfied Matthias Fonger, Head Managing Director of the Chamber of Commerce.

The first step towards the new headquarters will be the refurbishment of the building. "The construction work and interior outfitting will take around 16 months" explained Zimmermann on behalf of the building contractors. All the staff currently working in the Bürgermeister-Smidt-Straße are expected to be able to make the move in the second half of 2010.
