Just like any other building, offshore locations are subject to regulations governing noise control. Extensive piping systems are a significant source of noise caused by moving liquids or gases. As the available space is limited and acceptable noise levels need to be ensured for working environments as well as for living quarters, tailor-made insulation systems for effective noise protection are required.

For each project, KAEFER selects materials or combinations of materials to cover the required noise reduction, technically known as insertion loss, at actual frequencies.

We also carry out sound measurements with the help of acoustic cameras in order to identify deviations in sound levels. This enables us to take appropriate measures to protect staff and the environment. We have the necessary insulation material and, of course, the know-how required to install it.
